Paul
Marks was recruited by Claude Baril
to co-administrate the Alpha-1 Support Mailing List’s, ALPHA-LUNG
and other associated mailing lists. A job Paul did with great
enthusiasm and joy. After Claude's death in January 1999, Paul
managed the bulk of the list himself, while training other volunteers
on the complexities of administering a large internet-mailing
list. Paul passed away February 2, 2000. Paul is survived by his
beloved wife Diane and son Christopher who reside in the
San Francisco Bay Area of California.
"I
think I speak for every one when I say He is missed greatly and
is truly irreplaceable. I would like to thank all of you for being
such wonderful friends of my fathers, He was a great man. This
list was his achievement and it completed his life. Again My thanks
goes out to all of you for being such wonderful people, and as
I read the many messages that filter through my father inbox I
realize just how much he mint to all of you. But at the same time
you meant so much to him. My dad was more than just my dad he
was my role model and my friend. That's why I know how much you
all meant to him, and as he read all your wonderful humor to my
mother and I even when we didn't want to hear it) I realize how
you had all truly and profoundly affect his life. All I
can say Is that remember the great times many of you experienced
with my dad and look back at these for assistance, I know I will.
I don't Know How many times I have told you this now but thank
you all for giving my father such Magnificent memories and wonderful
friendships. I don't know where to go with out him to guide me
anymore."
